נוּף

נוּףch. sam( Hithpol. הִתְנוֹפֵף to be winnowed); part. נָיֵיף. Yeb.63a חזנהו דקא נַיְיפָן he saw them (the ears in the field) waving. Af. אָנֵיף to swing, wave, winnow. Targ. Is. 13:2. Targ. Y. (addressing the standing grain) אִתְנִיפָא אִיתְנוֹפְפִיוכ׳ Ar.
